Responsibilities

As a groundworker, you will work on various projects in civil engineering (GWW). You’ll ensure the ground is properly prepared for the installation of sewers, cables, pipes, and foundations. Your work includes both manual labor and machine operations, all while ensuring everything is done according to safety regulations.

Your tasks include:

  • Digging trenches for pipes, sewers, cables, and foundations.

  • Moving, leveling, and compacting soil and sand.

  • Removing excess soil and materials.

  • Operating machines like excavators and loaders (if you hold the necessary certification).

  • Working according to safety and quality standards.

  • Collaborating with a team to get the job done.


Workdays and hours


This is a full-time position, where you will work day shifts and typically start early (06:00 / 07:00 AM).

    What do you bring?

  • Some experience as a groundworker or in civil engineering (GWW).

  • A valid driver’s license (B).

  • A VCA certificate or the willingness to obtain one.

  • Physically strong and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

  • A flexible attitude.

  • Good command of Dutch or English.

  • Living in the Rotterdam area.
